Velvet Root Salon opened in May 2026 with one goal: create a beautiful salon without the stuffy salon attitude.

 

We’re a laid back, independently owned salon in Lee’s Summit where great hair, creativity and good people come together. We take our work seriously, but ourselves? Not so much. Come in,

get comfortable and be yourself.

 

Our space features five roomy hair stations, three backwash bowls, a brand new manicure station, tons of storage and room to grow as we welcome more independent beauty professionals into the Velvet Root family.

 

We’re still new, still growing and having a lot of fun creating the kind of salon we always wanted to be part of.
